The Riverside Stingers didn't give visiting Assumption much hospitality blowing out the Purple Raiders 70-30 Tuesday night. "The basketball in Tier 1 is very fast, very physical ," said head coach Aaron Martin. "Having that under your belt is key when you're moving up from Tier 2. We felt ready to go."

The Stingers lost to Herman in the semi's last year leaving a sour taste in the mouths of players like Ryan Lee who feels Riverside has some unfinished business. "We're looking for vengeance, 100 percent."

They host Kenney Thursday at 5:30. The winner advances to Sunday's final at the St. Clair College Sportsplex at 3pm.

"We don't take anybody for granted. They're coming in hungry," Martin said. "We beat them at their place this year but it was a buzzer beater. We're just gonna prepare and be ready to go."
