Stratford forces game 7 vs Leamington

It's not the script many expected to see play out at the Nature Fresh Recreation Centre in Leamington Sunday night. With the hometown Flyers leading 3-2 in the best-of-seven Sutherland Cup final Leamington had a chance to win their first title in franchise history but fell 4-1 to a Stratford team desperate to stay alive for the second straight game.

"For us to come back from 3-1 is a testament to the character of our group and resiliency of the group." said Warriors head coach Dave Williams.

Disappointment prevailed in the Leamington lockerroom after the letdown. "We've been in this situation before where we lost both games in the round robin and we had to go up to Hamilton and win a hockey game and that's basically our focus and mentality." said Flyers head coach Dale Mitchell. "We gotta go up and win a hockey game."

Game 7 is Tuesday night in Stratford.
