Two bowl games at Acumen Stadium Saturday night. In the nightcap it was North Star and L'Essor battling it out for supremacy as Tier 2 champions. Both teams had identical 6-1 records coming into the contest.
L'Essor locked down on defence and pitched a 17-0 shutout against the Wolves. Brody Carric found the end zone twice leading Les Aigles to a happier ending this year.
The Riverside Stingers were looking to re-write their story after losing to Cardinal Carter last year. The stage was set at Acumen Stadium Saturday in what turned out to be an entertaining game.
Riverside got a pair of touchdowns from Dwayne "D-Train" Copland as the Stingers went on to beat Cardinal Carter 35-27 in the Essex Ravens Bowl.
