Ryan Baker scored a pair of goals including the game winner in the 72nd minute as FC London beat Windsor City FC Friday night at Acumen Stadium. Gershom Dupuy scored for the home team who dropped to 4-8-2 on the season. They are 6th in the league and trail Darby FC by two points for 5th. London moved into first with an 11-2-1 record.
Despite the loss, Windsor City FC scored a win off the field by teaming up with the United Way to collect school supplies for their Backpack to Success program. Absolute Comfort Control Services provided their truck as fans and members of the community dropped off various items to be given to kids when school starts in September. The aim of the program is to provide backpacks filled with grade-appropriate supplies for students in need from kindergarten through grade 12 in our region.
