The Windsor Express are hosting a local tryout Saturday afternoon at Central Park Athletics. The tryout runs from 2-4:30pm and is an open invitation.
Head coach Bill Jones says there are a couple of openings on the roster and he would like to include a local player on the team. "I gotta have a Windsor guy so if we can find someone that's gonna be able to come out and compete and be able to play professional basketball in his hometown."
The Express open camp December 29th and will play their first game in the Basketball Super League against Montreal at the WFCU Centre on January 12th.
"I'm excited to start a new basketball season in a new league." Jones said.
