The LaSalle Vipers snapped out of their eight-game funk with a 4-2 win over Stratford on Wednesday night at the Vollmer Complex — their first victory since October 5th. The much-needed win helped LaSalle improve to 7-8-2, moving them into 8th place in the GOJHL’s Western Conference.
Kaiden Harmon opened the scoring midway through the first period on the power play, giving the Vipers an early edge. Stratford tied it late in the second when Evan Arnold found the back of the net with just 20 seconds left in the frame.
In the third, Michael Cunha restored LaSalle’s lead just 87 seconds in, but the Warriors answered back as Dax Vader evened the score at 9:21. The Vipers responded quickly, with Harmon burying his second of the night less than a minute later to make it 3-2. Adriano Tonin sealed the victory with an empty-net goal in the final seconds.
LaSalle heads to Cambridge Saturday night. Next home game is November 5th against St. Thomas.
