St. Clair opens with top seeded Humber

The St. Clair men's soccer team is the first to host a provincial title at Acumen Stadium and they have a tall order to fill against #1 seeded Humber in the opening game.

OCAA West Division all star Evan Mendonca feels his team will be ready, "We've been preparing for Humber all season", said Mendonca at the team's final practice Thursday night. "We know we're going to have to fight for it and leave it all out there".

The Saints have three medals in the team's history but none since 2000 when they lost to Humber in the final. This will be St. Clair's first time at the Final 4 since 2012. Defender Patrick Maheux says he feels strongly about the play of their defence and midfielders this season and hopes they can continue that level of play in the opener, "It's going to be a really good game tomorrow".
