Vipers Benefit from Spitfires’ Depth as Season Approaches

With the Windsor Spitfires boasting a deep and talented roster heading into the 2025 OHL season, it’s no surprise that some of that talent is trickling down — and the LaSalle Vipers are reaping the rewards.

The GOJHL club has added three promising players from Spitfires camp: forwards Michael Cuhna and Kaiden Harmon, along with defenceman Aiden Ostrovski. All three are now wearing Vipers colours as the team ramps up for the regular season.

Vipers head coach Anthony Iaquinta and his staff have been keeping a close eye on Spits camp, looking for players who might fit into their own plans.

“The Spitfire camp definitely had a lot of exciting players,” Iaquinta told Powerplay Sports. “We’ll see what happens here in the next couple of weeks.”

While Windsor's roster is packed and competitive — leaving limited room for younger players — it opens the door for LaSalle to benefit. And Iaquinta isn’t complaining.

“I think you’re always looking to upgrade and get the best players you can, and that’s no different with us,” he added. “We’re happy with what we have at each position, and we’ll see what happens here over the next week or so.”

The Vipers are ready for the preseason. They’ll host the Chatham Maroons on Wednesday night at the Vollmer Complex, before heading down the 401 for a Sunday night rematch in Chatham.

LaSalle officially drops the puck on the 2025-26 GOJHL season at home on Tuesday, September 10th, when they take on the London Nationals.
