Walkerville ready for challenge

The Walkerville sr. girls basketball team won their fourth straight game with a 51-31 victory over Brennan Thursday afternoon. The Tartans held a 28-21 edge late in the third quarter before putting the game out of reach with a 17-4 run. Tia Jokic scored 12 of her game-high 19 in the second half as Walkerville improves to 6-1 while Brennan falls to 3-4.

The Tartans head to Essex (7-0) to take on the first place Red Raiders Tuesday, October 22nd. Essex beat Leamington 53-8 behind Sara Archer's 21 points Thursday afternoon.
