Windsor TFC Blanks Sudbury 3-0, Climbs to Sixth in Standings
Windsor TFC continued their mid-season surge with a dominant 3-0 win over division-leading Sudbury on Sunday afternoon at St. Clair College's Acumen Stadium.
Despite a red card in the 34th minute, Windsor was managed to win their fifth game in their last six matches, improving to 6-7-2 on the season. After spending much of the summer near the bottom of the standings, the team has now climbed into a 5th place tie with Whitby FC, showing signs of a strong turnaround.
Despite the loss, Sudbury remains in first place with a 9-2-4 record.
Windsor will look to keep the momentum going on Friday, July 18th when they host fifth-place Master’s FA at Acumen Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. A win would see Windsor move into a 4th place tie with Master's FA and York United, who currently sit just two points ahead.
