Dupre wins debut fight

Alec Dupre of Border City Boxing beat teammate Chris Gerassimou in a split decision to win his amateur debut at the Rumble On The River held at the Bluesfest in downtown Windsor.

Dupre started boxing seven months ago and came out strong out of the gates. The 21-year old played varsity basketball at Holy Names before graduating. He came out strong and countered adjustments made by Gerassimou in the later rounds for the victory.
