Community mourns loss of Sandy Repko
The Windsor–Essex sports community is mourning the loss of Sandy Repko of Kingsville , a beloved and tireless volunteer whose impact on local athletics spanned decades. "She was like the energizer bunny," said Helen Vasilic, president of the Windsor Essex Athletic Club. "She did everything for all sports. It didn't matter what type of sporting event it was. The Tecumseh Saints basketball program sponsored the high school sr. girls all-star game Monday night at St. Anne. Guest coaches were Bethany Wachna from Windsor Police and Kim Maroun from Windsor Fire and Rescue. Team Fire got off to a hot start leading 20-8 at the half.
